FAQ

Click on the links below to see the answers to some of the questions we most often hear. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like further information. Or you can ask us a question right here on our website!

Can I hang seasonal decorations, such as Christmas lights or wreaths?

Yes. We encourage you to personalize your suite with your own decorations.

Am I required to sign a lease?

No. You will be required to sign a Tenancy Agreement, which outlines the accommodation and service package they have selected. The agreement is on a month-to-month basis, which allows maximum flexibility for changing options.

Is the deposit refundable?

Yes. Your $500 deposit reserves your suite. It is placed in a non-interest-bearing account and is applied to the first month’s rent when you move in. Should your plans change before that date, the deposit is 100% refundable.

Will my rent increase?

Yes. Managing rate increases against often-increasing operating expenses is a difficult balancing act, which we undergo every year. We will do our best to keep increases to a minimum while maintaining our high standard of services.

Can I paint, wallpaper, hang my pictures on the wall, and put up my own draperies?

Yes. Your suite is your home—we encourage you to make it comfortable and add your own personal touches. When you move in you will find your suite painted and equipped with window coverings in neutral tones. You may, at your own cost and within reason, paint walls, apply wallpaper, install draperies, and hang pictures to personalize the suite as you like. Our maintenance staff will be happy to assist you in hanging pictures and mirrors.

Who looks after general suite maintenance? Who will change my light bulbs?

Maintenance personnel are available for odd repairs and jobs of this nature. There is no cost for routine suite maintenance or repairs.

Can I smoke in my suite or in the dining room?

Yes. We will have a few single cots available on a first-come first-served basis, to allow residents to occasionally have guests stay overnight in their suites. Or your guests might prefer to stay in one of our Guest Suites for a small fee.

Where would my guest eat?
